How Much Will the RennStand Support?
We have rated the RennStand for 3 tons US or 2,722 kg., and each of the quick release pins holding it together are rated for 9000 lbs. each.
If your vehicle weighs 5000 lbs. the most you would support with one jack or jack stand is half of that since the vehicle is also supported by it’s tires or other jack stands that share the weight. A 5000 lb. vehicle might put as much as 2500 lbs. on a jack stand and that is only 42% of the stands rating.
The more stands, the lower the loading on each stand because they are sharing the load. In addition, the stands are all tested in accordance with ASME standards to at least 150% of the rated load (9,000 lbs.) but please do not exceed the 6,000 lb. load rating for safety reasons.
